Education plays a very important role in every individual's life. Education is that aspect of life without which an individual feels worthless. Keeping in mind this holistic approach and also the benefit of the students residing in and around Udupi district, Dr Sudhakar Shetty , the president of Ajekar Padma Gopal Education trust, with the blessings of Lord Krishna and his beloved parents, thought of starting a new institution for the PU students of Udupi, clubbing together the occasion of the decennial year celebration of Karkala Jnanasudha PU college and the centennial birth year of his beloved father Late Gopal Shetty.
With the inception of Udupi Jnanasudha PU College, Jnanasudha institutions have reached another important milestone in the field of education. Udupi Jnanasudha PU College is located in the cool and calm vicinity of Naagabana campus in Kadiyali, Kalsanka.
The college boasts of 4 sophisticated labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science subjects. It has a library with a considerable volume of text books and reference books. The college has 12 spacious and well-ventilated class rooms. The college is also equipped with pure drinking water facility. It has separate wash rooms/rest rooms for girls and boys which are kept clean and hygienic. For the convenience of the students a Store and Canteen are set up and lunch and snacks facility are made available for the students. The college, most importantly has a team of well qualified and experienced staff members to cater to all the needs of the students.

Colleges in the 21st century are the nerve centers, a place for the youth to progress physically and technically. Keeping all this in view, the sole motive of Udupi Jnanansudha PU college/ Jnanasudha institutions is to boost up the youth capacity and intelligence by providing quality education to the students. The education imparted in Jnanasudha is not for examination purpose only, but it is something with which the students can confidently live their lives. The staff members of Jnanasudha always strive to bring out the best in the students. We also feel blessed to have got a set of sincere, self-disciplined and humble students who have great respect for their parents as well as teachers.
